So let’s say you have a relatively new Jeep Wrangler like this doofus in his late 30s (license plate 6ZJK). What’s a good way to break it in? Here’s an idea…how about running a red light and getting T-boned by another driver? Well, that’s exactly what this asshole tried to do, and the situation wasn’t even debatable. He was traveling behind me on Burbank Blvd. going west up the hill toward the 405 Fwy on and off-ramps. The light turned red at one of the off-ramp intersections, at which point I slowed to a stop. This aggressive asshead then decided to pull out from behind me, speed up to my right, and run the red light (which was red by a good (2-3 seconds at this point). Then Fu*ktard almost gets plowed by a driver in an SUV coming from the right who was leaning on his horn (rightly so). Maybe this toolbag in the Wrangler got blinded by the setting sun and didn’t see the red light, but then you would think he would wise up and recenter himself to be a bit more rational behind the wheel. However, aggressive, arrogant assholes in this town don’t do that. Rather, when they get caught doing something so ridiculously stupid, they usually end up becoming more aggressive and stubborn, as if their fragile egos can’t take the embarrassment of having been seen driving so poorly that they feel that the best way to redeem themselves is to drive even more erratically with greater vindictive focus. Wrong answer, dumbasses. Needless to say, this guy, who after running the red light found himself in the #1 through lane on Burbank, just chose to cut back into the left-turn-only lane onto the 405 Fwy in front of me. So instead of waiting behind me for the on-ramp, this guy decided to peel out to his right, run a red light, and almost got t-boned by a heavier vehicle all for the sake of skipping one car. Really? Are you friggen serious? Naturally, I saw him speed away, cutting other drivers off (again without signals), once we merged onto the freeway.
