Moron in Pickup with Waverunners Almost Causes Collision While Merging

Yay, it’s the weekend! This guy had a great idea to take his waverunners to the ocean and have a go. However, his not so great idea was to merge onto the 101 Fwy S during afternoon rush hour (around Encino) and try to pass as many cars as possible while still in his merging lane. There was plenty of space to merge behind me, yet this guy in his massive pickup truck and trailer holding his waverunners felt some primitive desire to waste gas, risk a collision, and partially ride on the shoulder of the freeway to pass a mere two vehicles (me and the driver behind me). I didn’t think much of him at first as I passed him while he was on the on-ramp and I was in the slowest lane on the freeway. I suddenly heard the roar of his engine and saw him gunning it on my right and cutting in front. However, this aggressive dumbass failed to calculate the length of his entire transport and overestimated his ability to accelerate. As a result, I had to hit my brakes hard to avoid getting hockey-pucked into the next lane by a freakin’ Sea-Doo. I flashed my high beams at him to let him know that he almost hit my car, and this tool (in his 40′s) just stuck out his arm with this “who gives a fu*k” gesture (though to his credit, he didn’t give me the finger). Nonetheless, this clueless juggernaut kept chugging along the freeway aggressively tailgating every single driver in front of him. Newsflash, moron, your vehicle and its load doesn’t exactly stop on a dime. Naturally, I gave him a wide berth, lest the inevitable collision he’ll encounter if he continues driving like a trollish hard ass happens minutes after this photo was taken.
